1. About these terms
These terms apply when you browse or use Out in Kent, create an account, submit content, claim a listing or manage a business profile. By using the platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the relevant service.
Before the public launch, these terms will be updated with the operator's full registered legal name and postal address and reviewed by a UK solicitor.
2. What Out in Kent provides
Out in Kent helps people discover places, events and offers in Kent. Search results and AI recommendations are discovery aids, not guarantees or professional advice. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features and may moderate, reorder or remove content to protect users and the quality of the directory.
Bookings, tickets, directions and external websites are supplied by third parties. Unless we expressly say otherwise, Out in Kent is not the seller, booking agent or event organiser and is not a party to a transaction between you and a venue.
3. Accounts and security
Account details must be accurate and kept up to date. Keep your password confidential and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. Business profile and listing management features are for people aged 18 or over who are authorised to act for the relevant organisation.
We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, repeated inaccuracy, fraud, harassment, impersonation or a serious breach of these terms.
4. Reviews, photos and other contributions
You must only submit content that:
- is honest, relevant and based on genuine experience;
- you own or have permission to use and publish;
- does not infringe privacy, copyright or other rights;
- is not unlawful, threatening, hateful, obscene or misleading;
- does not contain malware, spam or undisclosed paid promotion.
You keep ownership of your content. You grant Out in Kent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, moderate, display and promote it for operating and marketing the platform. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups and material already shared as part of a campaign.
5. Venue listings, events and offers
Venue owners must have authority to submit or claim a listing and must keep opening hours, accessibility information, prices, facilities, contact details and event information accurate. Approval or verification does not amount to an endorsement.
Offers must state clear dates, eligibility, exclusions and terms. Do not submit promotions that encourage the purchase or consumption of alcohol or are likely to appeal particularly to anyone under 18. We may reject or remove an offer where we believe it creates a safeguarding, legal or reputational risk.
6. Check important information
Venue information can change at short notice. Check directly with the venue before travelling, booking or purchasing. This is especially important for opening times, prices, availability, age restrictions, allergens, dietary needs, accessibility, parking, tickets and cancellations. Get Directions links open a third-party mapping service and should be checked before travel.

8. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available and useful, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
